Tell us what you think of the State of Talent in 2021

In 2020, more than 130 talent teams contributed to the State of Talent Acquisition Survey and showcased how talent functions had been disrupted in a way we had never experienced before.

This year, we want to see what’s changed. The 2021 State of Talent Acquisition Survey has been designed in partnership with Globalization Partners to capture a clear and detailed snapshot of the current state talent acquisition in Australia and New Zealand, and give talent teams the opportunity to benchmark their function against their peers.

The data collected will be reported back to the TA community in the form of a report and in a free virtual event.

Your contributions will also help to establish key benchmarks which you can subsequently use to gauge how you and your organisation are faring, relative to your peers in the market.

And if that’s not enough of an incentive for you, everyone who completes the survey will also go into the draw to win a $500 Visa Card voucher.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and we recommend completing it on desktop or laptop. Please also ensure that you complete the survey in one session.

The Strategic Workforce Planning session at ATC2025, presented by Chris Hare and Alicia Roach, was one of those moments that made you stop and rethink how your organisation really plans for the future. It unpacked what happens when workforce planning evolves from a numbers exercise to a true business capability - one that connects people, purpose, and performance.
Jo Vohland and Medibank’s Andrew Retschko created interview questions to help HR and Talent Acquisition leaders prepare for a 4-Day Work Week (4DWW) pilot. From system redesign and cross-team alignment to EVP positioning and candidate experience, these questions highlight the leadership skills needed to deliver a successful 4DWW transformation.
As AI and new work models take hold, expectations on HR and Talent Leaders will intensify, with new role requirements quickly emerging. Interviews will test not only your past expertise but also your ability to lead the evolving programs of work. Jo Vohland collaborated with HR & Equitable Design Leader, Aubrey Blanche to map out some examples of Interview Questions you may soon be asked.
